Our Case Manager called with information about a new, very minor health issue. In the short term, Isabella is uncomfortable, perhaps even in pain, but compared to other potential issues, this one feels like a relief. It is treatable. It will not have any long-term consequences. It does make me yearn all the more to be there with her, to comfort her, to love and care for her as only her own mother can.
Tentative countdown: 85-odd days to court and 120-odd days to Homecoming Day... that feels so long to wait!
