The U.S. Department of State has confirmed that as of May 9, adoptive parents will be required to attend the court hearing in Ethiopia. The good news is that only one parent must travel for court. http://adoption.state.gov/news/ethiopia.html If Jon is limited to one trip, we will at least be able to choose whether he travels for court or for our 'gotcha' day. I'm leaning towards the latter - something tells me that traveling by myself will be much easier on the first trip!
